About us
Unicoi County Animal Shelter / Big Dog, Cool Cat Golf Tournament
Recovery from hurricane Helene, rebuilding the shelter
Amazingly the Shelter secured over a million dollars
in funding from the community, area foundations, and national animal
welfare organizations for cleanup and rebuilding. Now the focus is on
fundraising for cat kennels and funding for part time vet services and a
medical suite where spay/neuter and minor surgeries can be performed.

Our mission is to promote a citizen/pet safe community through animal control services, spay/neuter and rescue adoption.
Our Vision
Our aspiration is that domestic pets are wanted and are cared for family companions who enrich lives.
